Bathymetric Services in Florida

Bathymetry Surveys

Why is bathymetry essential to my marine construction project?

Bathymetric surveys allow us to measure the depth of a water body as well as map its underwater features. It’s used to create a study of ocean floors, lake floors and river or stream floors. Surveyors use LIDAR systems to “ping” the waterway floor to create underwater topography (3D mapping). Bathymetry also measures tides, currents and more before a marine construction project begins.

Tide Line Services work to obtain an exact representation of the ocean bed or other waterway bottoms. We identify elevations, anomalies and scour presence near underwater structures in shallow or deep water. Additional features such as the shoreline, tides, currents and waves are analyzed to improve the survey requested for projects like bridges, piers and other off-shore infrastructure.

Florida Wetlands Construction Surveys

Wetlands Construction Consulting

Why do I need to hire a Wetlands Consultant?

In Florida, wetland areas are protected and subject to specific local, state and federal laws. Your project needs to have the wetland area defined. Wetlands provide many benefits, including shoreline protection and flood zone buffers that act as a natural water filtration system for ground and surface waters. Often, replacing the wetlands values and functions that your proposed project will impact is necessary.

Tide Line Services offers site-specific wetlands solutions that are practical for you and approvable by federal, state, and local officials. Our wetlands experts are experienced with wetland delineations, functional assessments, wetlands mitigation and permitting and compliance. We handle pre-and-post construction monitoring and reporting requirements for your Florida property.

Hydrologic Data Collection Services in Florida

Hydrologic Data Collection

Why does my project require water data information?

Hydrological data can help us prepare and plan for extreme events by identifying high-risk areas. Day-to-day reporting is used to manage our water resources in ways that better suit our economic and environmental needs by providing information on the availability and quality of water.

Hydrological data is collected by several technologies, from observing gauges installed at flow measuring points to automatic data recorders and remote sensors. Our water data acquisition services are used to measure and report on local hydrological processes such as rainfall, stream flow, and extreme weather phenomena. We also maintain the collection systems and perform necessary repairs and calibrations.

Flow Monitoring & Stream Gauging Services in Florida

Flow Monitoring & Stream Gauging

Why are stream-gauging and flow rate measurements necessary?

Stream gauging and flow monitoring measure the amount of liquid passing through or discharging from inland canals, open water channels and other water structures such as gates, weirs and pumps. This is essential for flood control and prevention, water storage and permitting and compliance. Accurate measurements aid in ensuring that the water control processes run correctly.

Tide Line Services offer flow measurements and stream gauging services by using an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP). Types of data collected include discharge measurements, open channel measurements and calibration and rating curve development. Results are used for structure or pump rating, velocity mapping, hydraulic modeling, environmental compliance, permitting and flow studies
